Accessibility statement

Standard

This service targets level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, the standard referenced by Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and by the European Accessibility Act. It is written to work with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high zoom, and with the operating system’s reduced-motion and colour settings respected.

What has been done

• Colour is never the only carrier of meaning. Every risk band is also written in words, every status carries a text label, and the score dial exposes its value to assistive technology.
• Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum in both the light and the dark theme, and larger headings meet 3:1. The dark theme is checked with the same tooling as the light one.
• All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard. Modal dialogs trap focus while open and restore it to the control that opened them.
• Touch targets meet the 44 by 44 pixel guidance on touch devices. Where a control is drawn smaller to fit a dense toolbar, its hit area is enlarged without moving anything.
• Every page has one main landmark, a skip link to it, headings in order, and a title that describes the page.
• Layout reflows to a 320 pixel viewport without a horizontal scrollbar, and nothing depends on a particular screen orientation.
• Animation is suppressed entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion.
• Form fields have persistent visible labels, errors are announced to assistive technology, and no error depends on colour alone.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than let you discover them.

• Wide tables - the MiCA register and the counterparty list - scroll horizontally inside their own container on narrow screens. The scrolling region is keyboard reachable, but a table this wide is still harder to read on a phone than on a desktop.
• The generated PDF report is a tagged document, but it has not yet been audited against PDF/UA. If you need a screening summary in an accessible format, ask us and we will provide the same content as HTML.
• Content republished from the European institutions - feed titles and summaries on the Latest page - arrives as its publisher wrote it, and its wording is outside our control.
• A connected wallet is a third-party browser extension. Its own dialogs are outside this service and we cannot guarantee their accessibility.

If we do not respond adequately

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may escalate to the body responsible for enforcing accessibility requirements in your member state. The competent body and its contact details are to be named here for the member state of establishment before this service is published to the public.

Preparation of this statement

This statement reflects a self-assessment carried out by the consortium, combining automated checks - contrast and touch-target measurement across device sizes in both themes - with manual keyboard and screen-reader testing. It has not yet been reviewed by an independent third party, and it will be revised as the service changes.
