Editorial responsibilityThe consortium coordinator

FORCE is a research consortium funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchanges strand of Horizon Europe, coordinated by Aston University with nine partner organisations across the United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Türkiye, Luxembourg, Ireland, Poland, Ukraine, Cyprus and Germany. The instrument funds research, secondments and training. Where a member state requires a company registration number or VAT identifier of a commercial communication, those particulars are held by the individual partner organisation concerned and not by the consortium as such.

What FORCE is not

  • FORCE is not an institution, body, office or agency of the European Union. Co-funding under Horizon Europe does not make it one, and does not mean the Union endorses its output.
  • FORCE is not a competent authority under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 or Regulation (EU) 2024/1624, and it supervises nobody.
  • A screening result is not a legal determination, an accusation, or a finding that any offence has occurred.
  • Nothing on this site is legal advice, investment advice or a recommendation to transact or refuse to transact.

The views expressed are those of the consortium alone. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.

The limits of a screening result

A result describes what public sources said about an address at the moment of the check. Sources are updated on their publishers’ schedules, and an address can be designated, delisted or re-attributed between one check and the next. A result carries the time it was produced for exactly that reason.

Where a report is marked as degraded, one or more sources could not be reached and the result is incomplete. Do not rely on a degraded report as the sole basis for a decision.

Obligations under MiCA, the Travel Rule and the AML package fall on the regulated firm, not on FORCE. Running a check here does not discharge a customer due diligence, monitoring, reporting or record-keeping duty. Read the screening methodology before relying on a score.

Register data

The register pages mirror the interim register of crypto-asset service providers published by ESMA. Where the mirror and the publisher disagree, the publisher is authoritative. White papers listed in that register have not been reviewed or approved by any competent authority.

Intellectual property

Reuse of the consortium’s own text, layout and graphics is permitted provided the source is acknowledged and the meaning is not altered. That permission does not extend to the European emblem, to third-party logos, or to material that carries its own licence.

The European emblem is used in accordance with the conditions for its use by third parties. Its use does not imply that this service is endorsed by, or affiliated with, any Union institution.

Data reproduced from ESMA, the European Commission and the US Treasury remains subject to the terms of its original publisher.

This service links to pages published by the European institutions and by other third parties. Those pages are outside the consortium’s control and it accepts no responsibility for their content or availability.

Liability

The service is provided as it stands, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the consortium is not liable for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Applicable law

This notice is governed by the law of the member state in which the coordinating entity is established. That member state is to be named here alongside the particulars above before publication. Mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law of your own country of residence are unaffected.

Changes

This notice may change as the service develops. The version in force is the one published on this page.
